People Never Get "Tired" of Gift Cards
SVM and one of the nation's largest tire manufacturers recently created a fully customized gasoline gift card to use as a reward in a month long tire promotion.
The Promotion
Purchase four branded tires and receive a reward choice including a $50 gasoline gift card. The offer was good in the U.S. as well as U.S. territories. The promotion was advertised in local newspapers and on several radio stations. Additionally, participating dealerships displayed in-store signage. At the point of purchase the customers were awarded a choice of rewards through a rebate program.
SVM Coordinated the Gift Card Program Approval and Distribution
SVM coordinated the card customization approval with the oil company, managed the card production, and executed the individual fulfillment to each customer.
The Result
The consumer response to the gasoline gift card was favorable. Dealerships profited from increased floor traffic, additional sales and potentially repeat customers. The manufacturer benefited from having their brand on each gift card reminding each customer of their company and the reward for purchasing the tires.
